Anthony Hicks Obituary

Anthony V. Hicks

Virginia Beach - Anthony Vecchio Hicks, 29, passed away at his home in Virginia Beach, VA on April 17, 2015. Anthony was the son of Linda Spaziano Hicks and the late Stephen Foster Hicks.

Anthony was born in Providence, RI, but spent the majority of his life in Virginia Beach. He was a 2004 graduate of Kempsville High School. Anthony was an outstanding high school athlete with a passion for baseball, a love he shared with his father and brothers. Anthony was a loving, loyal and dedicated son, brother, husband and father. His family was always his priority and Anthony was happiest at home with his wife and son. The absence of his humor, charm and mischievous smile will forever leave a hole the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish Anthony's memory are his wife and best friend, Brittany Hicks; a son, Jaxson Vecchio Hicks; mother, Linda Spaziano Hicks; brothers, Raymond Vecchio Hicks, and Stephen "Hunter" Hicks; grandfather, Frank Spaziano; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 2 to 3 p.m. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. My heart goes out to all of the Hicks family!...Brittany I am so sorry for your loss..I was absolutely horrified to hear this news...I just feel heartbroken for you losing your husband and best friend and poor Jaxson he's probably not even old enough to completely grasp the concept of Daddy being gone...you're a strong woman Brittany and through you and his other family members Anthony's remembrance will live on forever...they say "only the good die young" it's a poor condolence for a life cut too short but, it's an optimistic perspective on questioning...why could this happen...hope I make sense...I love you guys and I will pray my little heart out for you guys to recover from such a tragic loss. ..you will remain in my thoughts and prayers
