Carol Blessing Obituary


Carol Anne Blessing MONTGOMERY, Ohio - Carol Anne Saunders Blessing, 59, died March 24, 2008, from ovarian cancer. She leaves a husband, Bill Blessing and a son, David Blessing, both of Hamilton County, North Carolina; a daughter, Wren Blessing and her husband John Hanto of Efland, N.C.; and a sister, Barbara Saunders Smith of Suffolk. Carol Anne was born and raised in Smithfield and received her under graduate degree from the College of William and Mary. She received a graduate degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill; she also did graduate work at the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University. Before moving to Cincinnati, Carol Anne did missionary work for the Baptist Home Mission Board in Atlanta. She was a special education teacher with the Indian Hill School District and Springer School. Her final work for more than a decade was as a teacher with Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. A funeral will be held at Covenant-First Presbyterian Church, Cincinnati, today at 6 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Bible Study Fellowship, 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258 or The Tin Roof Foundation, 1047 Nordyke Road, Cincinnati, OH 45255.
