Carole Worley Obituary

Carole Ann Worley

Virginia Beach - Carole Ann Worley, of Falls Church, VA, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Inova Fairfax Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in New York on April 1, 1952, she was predeceased by her mother, Mary Teresa Hall, and her mother-in-law, Mary Constance Worley.

Carole Hall graduated from Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach in 1970 and Old Dominion University in 1974 with a degree in psychology. She used her psychology background in her work in property management both in Los Angeles and then later in the Washington, DC area. In the last twelve years of her career, Carole worked with many great co-workers and clients at Cohn Communications/PMA-DC. She particularly liked heading up the service days and coordinating volunteer projects during these years at PMA-DC.

Carole lived in many places, including Argentia, Newfoundland and Rota, Spain, when her father was in the Navy. She enjoyed travelling with her family to beach locations, such as Jamaica, Cancun, Bermuda, and the Caribbean islands. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, following in the footsteps of her mother.

Carole was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, 7500 St. Philip's Court, Falls Church, VA, 22042. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church on Friday, May 1, 2015, at 12 noon.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Roger J. Hall, of Virginia Beach; husband of 40 years, Chris; daughters, Lauren and Catherine; sister, Barbara and brother-in-law David Marcus, of Decatur, GA; sister, Linda Davis, of Chesapeake; father-in-law, Denis Worley, of Annandale; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Denise and Steve Wilcox, of Warrenton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Carol Worley, of Huntsville, AL; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jan Presnell, of Annandale; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bridget and Larry Buttram, of Manassas Park; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation with the family will be at Church of the Holy Family, 1279 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA, 23454, from 10 am 11 am, Saturday, April 18, 2015. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at Church at 11 am. Internment will follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park. A reception will be held following the burial in the Church social hall. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Inc., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hdoliver.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
