Charles Burris Obituary

Charles Franklin Burris, Jr., 77, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. He was born on April 13, 1943 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Charles Franklin Burris, Sr. and Ida Grace Long Burris.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Bashford Burris; daughter, Hazel Burris Smith and husband Randal Smith Sr.; sister, Linda Grace Hughes; brother, Floyd A. Burris and wife Jullie; two grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Randal Smith Jr. and wife Jordan; two greatgrandchildren and one yet to be born; brother in law Phillip R. Bashford and his wife Linda; niece, Kelly Collins and husband Ken; and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Blvd Chapel. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Public viewing hours will be available from 2-5 PM Friday afternoon at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to St.Judes.
