Christopher Coleson Obituary
Elsewhere - Christopher Phillip J. Coleson, 49, of Quinton, VA passed away March 15, 2015. Words cannot describe how much he was loved and will be missed. No day will ever be the same without him. Chris was an amazing, loving father, husband, uncle, son, brother, and friend. He did so many good things in his life and had so much love in his heart. His great sense of humor brought laughter and joy to everyone he met. Family and friends were blessed to have had him in their life. Chris was such an inspiration to everyone and the memories we have of him will be cherished forever. He will be forever in our hearts. A dedicated husband and father, he left behind his wonderful wife Patricia Sumner; loving kids, daughter Meghan Coleson, and son James Coleson of Quinton; his three sisters, Michelle Wilder of Suffolk, Caroline Pittman and husband Barry of Battery Park, and Christina Hohman and husband Dean of Quinton; sister-in-law, Joanne Sumner of South Kingstown, RI; and 12 nieces and nephews, Tyler, Austin, Danielle, Kirsti, Collin, Blake, Talia, Teresa, Hayden, Kyle, Dylan, and Brayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marta Coleson. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2631 Pocahontas Trail, Quinton, VA, with burial, 3 p.m., at Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, VA. Vincent Funeral Home handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help 16 year old Amanda Baker who is battling an unknown illness at http://www.gofundme.com/dfeu2c. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Chris on the road years ago. He was always a good man with his head and heart in the right places. He will be dearly missed as he was taken too early from this world. God bless Chris and the family who will dearly miss him.
