Derick Palmer Obituary
Virginia Beach - Derick W. Palmer, 8, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was born in Catania, Sicily and had been a resident of Virginia Beach for two years. Derick had attended school at Hermitage Elementary School.
Derick was preceded in death by his faithful labrador retriever, Yankee.
Survivors include his parents, E. Gina Palmer and Dirk W. Palmer and sisters, Alexis and Mikaela Palmer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at Little Creek Amphibious Base with a burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.

It was a blessing and a priviledge to know Derick. He brought a smile to my face everyday and always reflected the love and caring he learned from you, his amazing family. Dirk and Gina,
Sue and I were so sorry to hear about the death of Derrick. We didn't know Derrick personally, but through your Mom and Dad's comments he was a son, grandson and friend to be very proud of.
