Of all my instructors at Strayer University, Prof. Edward Delk was the instructor I had most of my classes with as a Legal Concentration student. I will graduate this year, and then head to get my Juris Doctorate in Law. There was never a question regarding law and legal education that he couldn't answer in the classroom, and because of him, I carry around a copy of the United States Constitution at all times, for Prof. Delk would drill me about issues of Constitutional Law constantly. He was a great inspiration for me, and I'll miss his personality and wisdom. Rest well old friend, and when we meet again, I'll cook gumbo for you any time.

To the Delk Family,
I extend my sympathy to you on the recent passing of Edward Delk. My successful career is due in part to Mr. Delk's unwavering mentorship during my employment as a Real Estate Paralegal in his law firm of Delk, James and Jackson, Esq. This experience provided the foundation and skill-sets required to navigate the work environment in Corporate America. I will always be thankful for his guidance and also remember his infectious laugh. God Bless!

"I didn't have the privilege of personally getting to know my cousin, Edward, but I'm in awe @ all of his accomplishments and community involvement. My grandmother, Elouise Chambers-Mullen, spoke often and highly of her nephew so I did know him vicariously through her. My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy I humbly offer to the family. May God keep the memories of Edward fresh in your minds for many years to come." Delanya Mullen-Hoskins (Norfolk, VA)

To the Delk family. I am so truly sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. I had the opportunity to work for Mr. Delk part-time for a brief period back in the late 70's/early 80's. I was given this opportunity as a result of meeting Mrs. Delk while a student in the Reprographics Dept. at the Norfolk Technical Vocational Center. As a young student with untested skills, I will always be greatful to Mr. and Mrs. Delk for believing in me enough to give me the chance to grow and learn. Mr. Delk was always patient and kind and I have never forgotten that. God bless and keep your family always.
