Elizabeth Robison Obituary

Elizabeth Robison
Norfolk - Elizabeth Bell Robison died peacefully in her home in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 89 on January 29, 2013, several weeks after her late husband, Charles D. Robison. Betty, as she was known, was born on April 21, 1923 to Elizabeth Jernigan and Alex H. Bell.

Betty and Charlie began a 68-year marriage on September 2, 1944. Charlie's naval career provided interesting assignments in Newport, San Diego, Charleston, Norfolk, Nashville and southern France.
In 1962, they moved to Nashville. Betty was a devoted homemaker, mother, wife and the consummate gracious hostess. She was an active community volunteer and was involved in The Junior League, Colonial Dames, St. George's Episcopal Church and Travellers Rest Plantation. Her home was always open to friends from near and far.
She is survived by her children, Charles D. Robison, III (Kathy), Alexander B. Robison of Nashville and Elizabeth R. Cabell (Charles) of Richmond. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Charles D. Robison, IV, Katherine R. Baker, A. Lloyd Robison, Elizabeth D. Robison, J. Hunter Otterson and two great granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at St. George's Episcopal Church on February 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
