Emiko McDonald Obituary

Emiko McDonald CHESAPEAKE - Emiko McDonald, 76, of the 200 block of Fernwood Farms Road, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009. Born in Saga-Ken, Japan she was the daughter of the late Kajario and Inoue Ikeda Mori. She was the widow of James Wesley McDonald and was also predeceased by a daughter, JoAnn McDonald. Survivors include her son, Jamie C. McDonald of Chesapeake; two granddaughters, Crystal L. Powell and husband Chris of Chesapeake and Samantha Levinson and husband Brian of Maryland Heights, Mo.; two grandsons, Jamie C. McDonald Jr. of East Alton, Ill. and James L. Telkamp of Brighton, Ill.; two great- granddaughters, Cadence Powell and Hannah Levinson and a great-grandson, Jacob Levinson. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home and Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. The funeral will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Gloria Stevenson-Clark, SGI-USA Minister of Ceremonies, will officiate. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Godfrey, Ill. Friends are also invited to send condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.
