Ervin P. Sindelar

Chesapeake-Services for Ervin P. Sindelar, 83, Chesapeake, Virginia, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 12, at Great Bridge United Methodist Church in Chesapeake. Paula Bass and Jackson Sanderlin will officiate. Burial will be in the Clarkson National Cemetery in Clarkson, NE, at a later date.

Ervin Peter Sindelar died Monday, January 8th, 2024, at the home of his son Timothy E. Sindelar. Ervin was surrounded by his son Tim and his wife Audrey along with thier children, Gabriel and Abigail Sindelar.

Ervin Peter Sindelar was born October 19, 1940, in Stanton County, Nebraska, to Mike and Vlasta Sindelar. He graduated from Howells High School and attended Universal Trade School in Omaha, Nebraska.

On June 25, 1964, Ervin was united in marriage with D'Ete Wurdeman. The couple made their home north of Clarkson, Nebraska. Ervin enjoyed flying his airplane, collecting antique cars and tractors. After retiring from farming, the couple moved to Clarkson and later moved to Columbus, Nebraska. Upon the death of his wife, D'Ete, Ervin moved to Chesapeake, Virginia, to live with his son Timothy Sindelar, Tim's wife Audrey, and two of their children Gabriel and Abigail. Ervin Sindelar is survived by a daughter, Tracey (Wayne) Lorenzen of Omaha, two sons, Tim (Audrey) Sindelar of Chesapeake, VA. and Darren (Beth) Sindelar of Wakefield, Nebraska; sisters Marion Ring (Dale) Sheridan, WY, Veronica (Don) Flamme of Lincoln, NE. and Michael (Lois) Sindelar of Howells, NE. along with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ervin was proceeded in death by D'Ete Sindelar his wife, his parents Mike and Vlasta Sindelar, and great-grandson, Brent Kevin Sindelar. Flowers may be sent to Great Bridge United Methodist Church, Chesapeake, VA. 23322. Condolences may be offered to the family at: www.hollomon-brown.com.
