Gerald E. Vaughn

Norfolk - Gerald "Gerry" E. Vaughn, 80, passed away November 25, 2014.

He was born on September 9, 1934 in Pocahontas, IL. Gerry joined the Navy at the age of 19 and dedicated his life to service for his country. After 24 years he retired from the Navy as a Master Chief, AZCM. He served an additional 26 years in Civil Service at ComNavAirLant.

Left to honor his name are his loving wife of 13 years, Ivah Vaughn; his step-son, Tony Ellis and his wife Karen; step-daughter, Dawn Hayden, her husband Rick Dollieslager; and grandsons, Andrew and Daniel Demers. Gerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; his parents, Clarence and Pearl Vaughn and sisters, Betty and Dolly.

Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation at Hollomon-Brown, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk, VA on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at:
