Gerard Dworske Obituary

Gerard "Jerry" Dworske Jr., 80, passed away on January 27, 2022. Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 20 years, Patricia Dworske; sons William Dworske; John Dworske; David Dworske and his wife Michelle; sister Patricia O'Donnell; nephews Terry O'Donnell; Tommy O'Donnell and his wife Pauline. He will be fondly remembered by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of whom were recipients of his generosity and unconditional love. Gerard was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Mary Dworske and his former wife Christine Dworske. Jerry or "Ski' as his friends called him, led a fulfilling and adventurous life. Born in New Jersey on January 7, 1942, Jerry enlisted in the Marines at the age of 17. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired with 20 years of service as a Master Sergeant. Jerry was a devoted family man. He was a great son, husband, father, coach, mentor, confidant, teacher, and charismatic leader. Besides his family, he loved his Harley Davidson, gardening, fishing, and 4-wheeling on the beach. Jerry was an amazing man who impacted many. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 1pm at Wave Church, 2655 Seaboard Road, Virginia Beach VA 23456. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in memory of Jerry to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516, woundedwarriorproject.org.
