Gloria Halstead Creef

1941 - 2023

Gloria Halstead Creef passed away from COPD on January 20, 2023. She was born in Norfolk, VA on September 15, 1941 to Edward Clarence and Evelyn Ashley Halstead. She grew up in the Berkley section of Norfolk and graduated from Princess Anne High School. She is survived by her son, Wayne Alan Creef of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Ryan Halstead Creef and Lindsay Cyllene Creef; great-grandsons Kaeden Wayne Creef and Ryker Ashlee Creef and former daughter-in-law, Pamela Clampitt Creef, all of Chesapeake. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Shumadine, her brother, Don Halstead , a niece and three nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, of almost 60 years, Larry Wayne Creef, her parents, and a granddaughter, Deanna Ashley Creef. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gloria was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church for many years.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
