Hans Meyer Obituary

Hans W. Meyer

Virginia Beach - Hans W. Meyer, 89, passed away on November 19, 2016.

Born in Germany, he was a retired Mechanical Engineer.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 53 years, Waltraud E. Meyer and son, Dirk Meyer and his wife, Grace, of Jacksonville, FL. He was also survived by family members in Germany.

Hans had a love of flying from an early age, and began flying gliders at the age of 14 and progressed to powered engine aircraft at the age of 17. Hans has enjoyed flying different types of aircraft throughout his whole life.

A memorial service will be held at New Apostolic Church, Norfolk at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com

I just learned that Hans passed away in November. Years ago, I read his wonderful book and corresponded with him about his very interesting life. He was a true gentleman. My deepest sympathies to his wife and family.
