The world is a bit more cloudy with the passing of a great lady, Ida Shames. I have had the pleasure of sharing her company and will always love the way she spoke her mind. She was devoted to the Col. as he was to her. My thoughts and prayers to the family and thanks for allowing me to be a part of Ida's world, if only for a short time.

Dear Ed and family, It is with great sadness that I learned last Friday of Ida's passing. I was blessed to have met Ida several times and she was a wonderful lady. I loved seeing her love and devotion for you and the same from you for her. Your marriage sets an example for the rest of us of what a marriage means. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your children, grandchildren, family and friends. We know that Ida is in God's loving arms and presence. God Bless and see you soon. Ernie

My dear friend Ed. My sincere condolences for your loss. You always spoke highly about Ida and I really felt the love you have for her every time you mentioned her name. Sadly I didn't have the privilege to meet her but I feel I did know her a bit because of you.
Sending much love to you and your family, your loyal friend Ron from Belgium.
