James Browne Obituary

James Browne Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - On resurrection Sunday, April 12, 2009, the Lord beckoned James "JB" Browne Jr. with outstretched hands and whispered softly "come to me." He willingly accepted the Master's call. James was born May 4, 1935, in Georgetown, S.C., to the late James H. Browne Sr. and Lila Knox. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Miracle Temple Baptist Church in Newport News, Va. He was employed at Global Security until his health failed. He enjoyed singing gospel music and was so full of life. He never met a stranger. He took pride in being a family man and loved sharing his life experiences; he was loved and well respected by all who knew him. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Vanessa, four sons, two daughters, two daughters-in-law, one sister, six sisters-in-law, one mother-in-law, Martha Horne, one father-in-law, Earl Jefferson, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at noon in New Hope Baptist Church, 395 Old Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach. Interment will follow in Betty Jones Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends for remembrance and visitation Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. You may offer condolences to the family online at www.beachfuneralservices.com. "While we are mourning the loss of James, Heaven is rejoicing for a soul set free!" Kevin A. Sanderlin, funeral director.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Ps. 91:1
Angela,
I just wanted to take this time to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers. I pray that God will guide you as He opens His arms to comfort you in your hour of loss. As you come before Him, may you find strength in His willingness and ability to soothe your sorrow with His understanding and compassion. May your heavy load of grief be lightened as you rest at ease in the Masters care. We thank God for the blessed assurance that we will see our loved ones again.
I will continue to keep you and your family lifted up. Be blessed!
Love and Prayers, Janice Pryor
