Norfolk - James "Andy" Lovick, 78, passed away March 17, 2014. He was born on September 15, 1935 in Scranton, North Carolina. He was the second oldest son of nine children. The founder/owner of Andy's Barber Shop will be greatly missed by many friends and family. A funeral service will be held, 2 p.m., Saturday, March 22, Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Norfolk, VA. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, VA.

Lord I thank you for the glory of having Andy in me and my family's life for so many years. I trust and stand on your word and look not to myself for understanding. God Bless the family and look and seek God for comfort and thank God for JOY that he gave you and the memories that Andy will leave you. Ernest I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Rest in Peace Mr Andy you will truly be missed especially that big smile you always gave whenever I saw you, and to Mama Lovick it's been a while since I've seen you but you be strong in the Lord and he will carry you through. Hope there is a viewing so I can pay my respects if not my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Lovick & Johnson Family. I just lost a good friend as well William Webster and he will be funeralized this Friday @ Bethany Baptist Church viewing tonight @ Metropolitan Berkley 6-8pm this is for Ernest.
