James Willis Obituary
Jimmie was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Verizon after 40 years. Jimmie enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time at his house in Ocracoke, NC.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years, Jean B. Willis, daughter Sandra W. Jones (DeeJay), son Frank J. Willis (Linda), son James E. Willis, III (Joan), daughter Patricia A. Willis (David), 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Mary Lou McLagan, sister Joan Rightmier, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank Interim Hospice Healthcare and caregivers Sherrie, Ebony, Kenya, Jessica, Celia, and Regina for the countless hours of dedication.
A wake for Jimmie will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, from 6:00 pm - 8:00pm. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 10:00am, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jimmie's honor to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be offered to the family at hdoliver.com.

Jean, So very sorry to hear of your loss.
It's been so very long but I remember times traveled with Jimmie and working together on home repairs and renovations. Jimmie could fix anything and would help anyone that asked. Best wishes to you as you work through this difficult time. john c. janssen
