Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, James J Burke, her four daughters Theresa Marie Gray, her husband Terry, and their children Victoria and Brian with his wife Ashley and their sons Emerson and Oliver of Chesapeake; daughter Brenda Lee Burke of Kent, Ohio; daughter Deborah Burke Lohmeier and husband David of Suffolk; and daughter Wendy Sue Burke of Norfolk; and her sister-in-law Mary Burbidge and husband Jason of N. Wildwood, NJ. She was preceded in death her parents, her sister Joan Smith and husband Frank of Bolton, MA; and her brother-in-law Michael Burke.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 27th at St Mark's Catholic Church at 1505 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach VA 23464. A private interment service at the Parish's Columbarium will occur immediately after.

Jean was my very best friend from first grade til now. My heart is broken that my beautiful, wonderful friend has passed away. Although she lived in VA., we always kept in touch. I visited her in Va., and Jean and Jim visited in N.H. She will be so missed by everyone who loved her. RIP in the arms of our Lord, my dear friend.
