Jeanette T. Lee

1939 - 2019

Jeanette T. Lee, of Virginia Beach, VA, went to be with her Lord and join her beloved husband on January 23, 2019. Her family has lovingly surrounded her during her final hours.She was born in Norfolk, VA September 24, 1939, and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lee, Sr.; her parents, Jack and Carsie Taylor; as well as a half-brother, Richard Kirby. Survivors include: her son, Fred Lee, Jr., and wife, Tina; a daughter, Jacque Lyons and husband, Adam; her grandchildren include: Josh and Stevie Lee, Savannah Lee and husband, Rob, Julia, Jessica, Dalton, and Walker; and great-grandchildren include: Elijah, Ryder, Gage, Skylar, and Rebel.Jeanette graduated from Granby High School. She had exceptional musical talents especially playing the piano. She had certificates validating this talent. She started her musical career by playing for the Cousin Tibal Show on TV.She taught students for 28 years, she accompanied Dance Recital for Eva May Morris Studios, she accompanied the Sentara Living Choral group for several years as well as playing for many special events and for the Volunteers and Auxiliary at Sentara Bayside Hospital. She was the Coordinator for the Volunteers and Auxiliary members for 20 years at Sentara Bayside Hospital. She loved to travel with family and friends. She loved her family and they loved her.The family would like to thank the staff of Sentara Hospice House for their care.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel.
