As an older Alumni Brother in Kappa Alpha Order Jerry was always helpful and an mentor to all of us trying to figure out our way in our early years (74') at ODU. His kind gentlemanly ways were a model for us to follow and live by. Jerry made a difference by his positive attitude, joyful spirit and servants heart that helped me and other grow as young men. I will always have kind fond memories of Jerry and look forward to our reunion in heaven some day.

Jerry and I shared many times together and he was such a wonderful friend. We rode back and forth to summer school in his old Jeep and some days it would be cold and others extremely hot but we always found things to talk about and laughter was never short when we were together.

I send condolences on your loss. I met Jerry in 1965 on the beach with all of his friends. I remember he was one of the first people to ride a Honda 50 motorcycle. Always ready to help a friend and larger than life. RIP Jerry, we´ll miss you.
