Kenneth Brown, Jr. 45, passed away January 4, 2023. Kenny attended Booker T Washington High School and also attended University of Maryland Eastern Shore College. Kenneth was a delivery driver for Amazon and also an entrepreneur for his clothing company "God Got Me". Kenny is survived by his sons, Raekwon Johnson and Kenneth Brown III; his grandchildren, Kenneth Brown IV and soon to be granddaughter; his parents, Kenneth and Debra Brown; sister, Ashley Brown; brothers, Christopher Brown and Kelvin Kerry; grandmother, Theresa Keith; nieces, Aria Jackson and Callie Paige; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, January 14, 2023 at New Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Wake Service will be Friday, January 13, 2023 Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley 6pm to 8 pm

We met at the Norfolk Vo-Tech campus our senior year of high school. You were the star basketball player everyone recognized yet, somehow, you managed to still be one of the most down to Earth, humble, and modest people I'd ever met. I enjoyed our conversations back then, and it was a pleasure catching up with you last year! Rest well good guy!!

There have been a lot of talented ballers in the Burgundy and Gold on Park Ave aka The Booker Dome" ! But this young man did it with so much flair all while always appearing to be the youngest on the floor" ,He was The Baby Faced Assassin " with the basketball " and kept the Bookers and that Loud fan base even Louder", and running in Excitement across the court during games which no other school ever did" ,All because of the Excitement KB brought " !!!

R.I.P. Kenny...in high school, I would always marvel at you because you took all that spotlight (bball and the girls) in stride and neverrrr became cocky or arrogant because of it. Always the most humble, chill dude, who showed love to everyone who crossed your path. You showed me that all jocks aren't jerks, Angels are everywhere...in all crews...on all squads. It was hard to hear that my brother/friend had past away didn´t want to really talk about but here I am. All I´m going to say is (Love) was Kenny Brown very rarely did you see anything other then love from Kenny. I Guess that´s was your purpose on earth, to show unconditional Love, now you can get all the love reciprocated because you know you Slogan (God Got You) Foreal!!!!
