Lawrence L. Massa

Va Beach - Lawrence L. Massa, 82, passed away on August 27, 2016, in his home.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Jesse and Auberta Massa. He retired from the U. S. Navy as a Commander.

Left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 58 years, Darlene Massa; son, Gregory Massa with Cherie Tase of Virginia Beach; daughters, Lisa Hines with David Pace and Nancy Williams with John Green of Virginia Beach and Valerie Massa of Ivor, VA; grandsons, David Williams of Maryland, Logan Massa of Ohio and Noah Massa of Ivor, VA; granddaughters, Alicia Williams with Tony Casto and Molly Hines of Virginia Beach; great grandchildren, Ethan, Sophia and Hannah Casto; sisters, Karen Browne with her husband Greg Browne of Florida and Joyce Holford of California; and his ragdoll cats, Sir Tristen and Lady Misti.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown, Kempsville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fisher House at www.fisherhouse.org. Condolences may be offered to the family at:
