Louis M. Cason
Norfolk - Louis M. Cason, son of the late Willie and Rhoda Cason passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013. Louis was born on May 16, 1925 in Princess Ann County, VA. At a young age he joined the Navy and served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952. Louis retired from Civil Service and the Eastern VA Medical School He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lambert's Point where he served on the Male Usher Board for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Peggy Boyd Cason, four brothers and 3 sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Shirley Mabroy (James), children, Rev. Marcia Murphy, Charlene Cooper, Larry Jones, Melody Vaughan (James), close nephew Eddie Cason, Sister In Law, Doris Cason, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. A public viewing will be held at Graves Funeral Home, Friday, March 22 from 1 - 8 p.m. Home going service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 12 noon, First Baptist Church, Lambert's Point with Rev. Anthony Paige presiding. Internment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. gravesfuneralhomeinc.com

To Larry, Melody, Charlene and Marcia please accept my sincere condolences. The last time i was in Norfolk i asked my mom about Mr. Cason. Ms. Peggy, Mr. Cason and the rest of you Larry, Marcia, Charlene and Melody were like my second family. We must appreciate the seasons we have with our family members. God does not make mistakes.

To Marcia, Charlene, Larry, and Melody - it is because I love you that I encourage you to continue to trust God in this time of bereavement. You did all you could and now Brother Cason rests in the arms of God. Mourning is natural and rejoicing is supernatural - so join with heaven in the shout "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!" Your dad rests from his labors and his deeds will follow him.
