Manfred Kirste Obituary

Manfred "Fred" J. Kirste

Virginia Beach - On November 2, 2016, Fred received a call to landscape the Lord's garden and join his dad, Heinz. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lori; children, Trevor (wife, Colleen), Jordan (husband, Kyle), and Ella May; mother Liesa; brother Uwe (wife, Sally); grandchildren, Neil and Arianna; in-laws, Joe and Cordy Beasley; brother-in-law, JJ; sister-in-law, Annie (husband, Jeff); numerous nieces and nephews; extended family to include the Mahons, Grays, Johnsons, Rowlands, and Louis, as well as countless friends he thought of as family.

Fred enjoyed camping with family and friends, building huge bonfires, and working on machinery. A master of piddling, Fred could not keep still. He owned Living Color Landscapes and mentored Sean Stroud in his landscaping business. He will be remembered most for his ability to make people laugh by reaching into his barrel of "Fredisms."

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of 2 South Oncology at Sentara Virginia Beach General, especially Sai Gibson. Laurie Grygotis was instrumental in Fred's home care and will forever be appreciated and loved for her kindness.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 691 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Ella Kirste Donation Fund, through any Wells Fargo (Pungo Branch 1804 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA. 23456).

Just last week Manfred came to mind, just thinking of him and my brother, Tim, and all their antics. Not realizing it was coming up on his anniversary of his passing. Continued prayers for your family.
