Philip Harman Obituary
Norfolk - Master Sergeant Philip E. Harman, USA (Ret.), 75, a longtime resident of Willoughby Spit, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015.
Phil was a proud 20 year Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a committed civil servant at NAVMTO, a caring father, grandfather, friend, and a devoted husband of 55 years. Phil was a Master Mason and Shriner, an avid Redskins fan who enjoyed life and seemingly never met a stranger. He is survived by his loving family and many dear friends.
Phil's life will be celebrated on Sunday, 9 August, 2015, at 2 p.m. at First Church of God, 8600 Granby St., Norfolk, VA followed by the burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby St., Norfolk, VA with full military honors. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown, Tidewater Dr. Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Sentara Foundation. Dear Marga and family ~ we were blessed to have been Phil's neighbors and friends for the past six years. In that time, we have witnessed his spirit, humor, loyalty, discipline, conviction and unconditional love for his family. He has left footprints on our hearts and we are better for having known him.
