Raphus Etheridge Obituary
Norfolk - Norfolk-Raphus S. Etheridge (papa Ray) was born to the late Theresa Garris Etheridge and Raphus D. Etheridge, on Sept 20, 1943. He went home to be with Jesus on Dec 8, 2011. He's predeceased by his brothers, Levon and Keith Etheridge; a stepson, Raymond Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Willie Mae Etheridge; daughter, Ms. Jacqueline Smith; sons, Raphus Etheridge III, Eugene McAllister; step daughter Mrs. Marcia McNealy, Ms. Marnita Jefferson, Serita Smith; step-sons, Jonathan and Jerome Byrdsong; sisters, Ms. Shelia Moore, Ms. Venita Jefferson; aunt, Ms. Mattie Telfair; a host of other relatives and friends; faithful cousins Mr. and Ms. Thomas Eure and Ms. Deloris Goodall.
A special Thanks to all the Health Care personal who helped care for our love one. We thank all of you for your heartfelt acts of kindness during our hour of bereavement. Viewing of the body will be Tues. Dec 13 from 1-8pm at Graves Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Wed Dec 14, 12noon at First Calvary Baptist Church; 813 Henry St. Rev. C.M. Springs, Jr. Officiating. Repast will be at Local 1248 3300 E. Princess Anne Rd.
