Reginald Bryan, Sr.
Norfolk - Reginald Hubert "Moot" Bryan, Sr., 79, of 621 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Woodlands of Clifton Forge. He was born in Covington, Virginia on July 23, 1934 a son of the late Albert T. and Nellie E. Dickson Bryan. He was a retired construction contractor, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Missouri, USS Iowa and USS Mississippi. He was a good man who lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by a son Reginald H. Bryan, Jr., a stepmother Edith Bryan and by two brothers. He is survived by a daughter Patricia Leigh Bryan; two sons Christopher Scott Bryan and wife Veronica and Patrick Lee Bryan all of Norfolk; special niece, Lisa Bryan Deisher and her husband Elwood of Clifton Forge; a daughter-in-law Susan D. Bryan of Norfolk; 7 grandchildren, Christopher S. Bryan, Jr. and wife Cheryl, Daniel Rigney, Jr., Patrick L. Bryan II and wife Allison, Diane M. Bryan, Denise M. Bryan, Sasha L. Rigney, Marissa J. Rigney; 3 great grandchildren Jack, Jake and Jermiah; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated and there will be no services. The family suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Alleghany Highlands Division, c/o Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Blvd., Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422.
