Richard Bryant Obituary
Chesapeake - Richard Arlen Bryant, Sr. departed this life on December 1, 2017. Born March 25, 1936, he was the youngest child of the late Vernon and Opal Bryant. He is survived by his loving wife, Myrna Jane Francis Bryant; a daughter, Mrs. Michael Turner; a son, Mr. Richard Bryant, Jr.; two grandsons, John Bryant and Patrick Bryant; one great-grand son; an older brother, Willie Bryant; and a host of family and friends. He served as Worshipful Master of Doric Masonic Lodge #44, District Deputy Grand Master of District #36, and was a member of the Khedive Temple Greenbrier, Hillbillie Unit. Memorial Services are scheduled for December 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Woodlawn Funeral & Crematory, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502.

For many, many years I was fortunate enough to call Rick-Rick my friend. The Bryants and Newbys traveled together, laughed together, belonged to the same Eastern Star unit, camped at Hampton Lodge my husband and Rick were Masonic brothers and members of the same Shrine and Hillbillies' Unit. So many memories. Happy times. My sincerest of hurt and sympathy for daughter Patty Cakes and son Richard. (P.S. Com'om Rick-Rick! Let's do the TWIST!)
