Bob was youth pastor at Central Christian Church in Van Nuys in 1955, when I was nine. He was a kind and friendly man and, in large part, responsible for my decision to be baptised that year. I wish we had not lost contact after we moved to northern California. I am still a Christ follower because he helped to lay a foundation for me that is strong and lasting.

To say that I thank my lucky stars that I was fortunate enough to meet and work with Bob for over eleven years in the offices of Atlantic University can not begin to describe the joy I experienced during that time. Even though I have been away from Virginia Beach for years now, hearing of Bob's passing is like losing both an older brother and a kindred spirit. I will now miss even more the jokes we played on each other as much as his sage presence. All I can say is that I hope to have as much vitality and wisdom as Bob possessed when I finally grow up. You are sorely missed but I know wherever you are now is blessed by your presence. Rock on,

Rev. Bob Danner made a big difference in my life as I got to know and Love our Lord. Thanks to him and his family for opening my eyes as a young child in which I am still serving and attending the same church many years later. May the family find comfort and peace in the days to come. My prayers are with you.

RIP Rev. Dr. Bob Danner! I know you will enjoy the peace, love, joy, and consciousness of the Other Realm! You were a marvelous double PhD, an ordained Reverend, and faithful teacher at Atlantic University for many years! I was privileged to know you and learn a few metaphysical tips from you. I adored your kindness, wisdom, and good humor. Light and love along the way! Mary Warren Pinnell

We are saddened by this news and we are thinking about Marilyn and the whole family. I valued my time working with Bob and Marilyn for many years at Tidewater UCC. I especially celebrate their spirit and know that this is a time to say Amen for a life well lived! I was hoping to be at the service, but I can't physically be there. Know that you have our prayers and love.
