Bob was a pioneering engineer who developed telecommunications architecture of several countries, and one of the most sought after mathematical and engineering minds in the world. Bob was a follower of Jesus Christ and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Next to God and his family, Bob's greatest love was the water. Bob was a good friend. We both worked at Collins Radio until we both joined the military. I credit him with me meeting my wife.
A good man and I wish I could have met with him in later life.

Bob and I worked together right out of high school at Collins Radio, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In August of that first summer, Bob came in to work one day and said that he was going to join the Army. I thought that was a good idea so I joined the Air Force about the same time. The result of that was that we both ended up going to universities and getting engineering degrees. I always tell my wife that if it hadn't been for Bob Sufficool, we would probably never met and got married since I was not on track to go to college before the service. Bob and I got together sometime in the mid to late 1960's. I believe he had obtained his masters degree at the U of I in electrical engineering at the time. I have always wanted to get together with Bob and thank him for changing my life. I see by his faith that we will see each other again in heaven. Glory be to God.
