It's been a number of years since I've seen or talked to Sari, but I have thought of her often during that time. Sari is truly a person I will never, ever forget. She was a wonderful lady, full of grace and her own special brand of wisdom.

I am so grateful for Sari's kindness to me over the decades! I remember one time in particular when she heard from Kay about a troubling time I was going
through. She called me immediately, and her first words were, "Honey, do you want me to listen, or do you want me to talk?" There was so much compassion in this simple question, and I remember that my choice was for her to speak first. She had words of condolence and advice for me then, and I remember having an almost mystical feeling that my own mom (who had passed on many years ago) was speaking to me and comforting me through Sari's words.

Sari touched my life. She welcomed me into her family. She made a difference.

Dear Mr. Erlanger, Rhonda, Wendy, and families,
I have spoken to Kay and was so sorry to hear about Sari. She was such a wonderful person, with a smile that says it all. I will always remember her as happy - which I'm sure is due in no small part to her husband, children, and their families. My sincere condolences to all of you.

Dear David, Morton, Rhonda, Wendy, Kay, and Spouses,

Peggy and I were saddened to hear of Sari Helen's death. She was a bright light in our family and a favorite of my mother Hannah and many others. I hadn't seen her for many years though her upbeat personality and constant smile is etched into my memory, as were fun times with all of you at Virginia Beach. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Love Michael and Peggy

Dear Mr. Erlanger, I am so saddened by the news of Sari's illness and that she passed away so quickly. I have a beautiful letter from her that she recently sent to me on my birthday. We were co-workers at ACC for many years and thankfully we have always kept in touch with each other but I am so sad that I had not answered her last note to me. I think of her so fondly and wish to express my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Alice Rodd, formerly of Glens Falls, New York.

Dear David, I was shocked & very sad to hear that Sari was ill & then passed away so quickly. I will always remember how beautiful she always looked and that she was such a positive person. She always had so much grace and was a "real lady". My parent's always raved about her cooking. I was so happy that you both were able to attend my parent's 65th anniversary. Sari said many nice things that she had written about her Glens Falls memories with my parents. Both of you have been such good friends to my parents & Roz. I hope you will find comfort in the many good memories you have had of your life together & that you will feel the love & support from your family & the many friends you have known throughout the years. Take care of yourself. Love Diane Schwartz Gellman
