Sharon Anita Tyree

Sharon Anita Tyree departed this life on July 29, 2023 at the age of 65. She was born on February 17, 1958 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William A. and Emma B. Tyree. Sharon attended Granby High School in Norfolk, VA. She worked as an Airline Reservation Assistant for TWA/American Airlines and a Customer Service Representative for Cox Communications. Sharon was employed as a Benefits Administration Service Associate for Conduent at the time of her passing. Growing up, Sharon attended Garden Of Prayer #3 C.O.G.I.C. She devoted numerus hours volunteering at the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters Stephanie and Stacie Pittman, 3 grandchildren, Jasmine (Jaqual) Pittman-Williams, Erik, and Sania Pittman, and 4 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 2 sisters, Evelyn Tyree Hampton and Rosetta Davis, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William A Tyree III, mother, Emma B. Tyree, brothers, William, George, Benjamin, Donald and sister, Lillie Tyree. Services are entrusted to Metropolitan Funeral Service on Granby Street. The viewing will be Friday, August 11th from 2 - 6 PM. Service will be Saturday, August 12th at 11 AM.
