Very sad to learn of Steve's passing. He should have lived to at least 100, if you count the compassion shown to others. He was always helpful and hopeful and kind the many times we saw him. So grateful to have known Steve. And boy was he smart!

I'm just devastated to learn Steve passed away. He was always there for me over the years no matter what struggles I was facing. From the time I was 16 years old in 1984 until the last time I saw him in 2006 when I was 38. Whenever I had a huge obstacle in life to overcome, Steve was who I sought for guidance. He always made me feel like he was my best friend and that he really cared. Because he did. He was such a genuine person and always so easy to talk to. His words of wisdom will always be with me; in my mind and in my heart. His smile in the photo is so familiar to me, I can't believe I'll never see him again. Love to his family.

I would like to wish Steve's family peace and comfort. Steve was my daughte's counselor years ago at Riverpoint. I attended counseling sessions with him and my daughter. He was a comfort to me with his calm presence. I feel very blessed to have known him. I am sure he touched many lives.

I will never forget STEVEN's generosity of spirit of self and of story ...
He helped me enormously by his encouragement and belief in me.
I will miss his presence and I feel so grateful that I had the chance to go around the moon and the sun while he was here .
I will think of him each time I see a gardener tenderly loving and nurturing his garden .
