Vivian Wilson Obituary

Vivian Stancil Wilson

Virginia Beach - One of God's precious gifts was given to us on August 12, 1933. Vivian Delores Stancil was born in Princess Ann County, Virginia. She married Russell L. Rainey, Sr. also of Princess Ann County and to this union they became parents of six children. Like all young mothers, mom provided for her family and did all she could to make our lives happy and secure.

Our house became a home through her diligent efforts and guidance. She worked at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for many years in the Nutrition and Dietary Department. She also worked for the Fraternal Order of Police for a number of years.

What great memories we have of our mother. She was always there for us during all of our childhood sicknesses. She was always caring for us. Looking back, she sacrificed for us in many ways. Later on in her life she married Charlie Sanford Wilson of Chesapeake, Virginia. Our families grew because of this union. Late in the evening on June 5, 2015 our God sent an angel to escort our mother into her eternal home. What a joy it is to know that soon and very soon we will see her again and this time we shall never be separated ever again according to the word of God. Our mother is in heaven now. God has opened His loving arms and proclaimed to her "Welcome Home Vivian" Welcome to your new and eternal life. Look and she what I have prepared for you. Thank You God for our mom, Vivian. Prayerfully, The Family.

"I'm Free" Don't grieve for me, for now I am free. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. And if my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. My life has been full, and savored much, good friends, good times and a loved one's touch. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes, these things I too will miss. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Open up your hearts and share with me, God wanted me now, He has set me free. God saw me getting tired, and did what He thought best, He put His arms around me, and whispered, come home and rest.

A graveside service will be held, 1pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Rd. Chesapeake, VA. The family will receive friends, 6pm-7pm, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Norfolk, VA 23505.

Rest In Paradise Grandma. Love Von

June 14, 2015

Rest In Peace Aunt Vivian. You always made your home an open and welcoming place for us. You gave us cousins who were more like brothers and sisters and you were always a dear friend to my mother. I will always be in your debt.
Love,
Reginald Levon Rankins
