Wade, I met you on the USS California more than 32 years ago and was struck by your kindness and easy-going manner. We lost touch with each other for decades but reunited on Facebook several years ago. I was glad to have reconnected with you, was proud to learn of your personal and professional success, but saddened by the news of your illness. I was also amazed by your positive attitude and inner strength, and hoped that you would win your battle. I lost touch with you again for a while and last night, at around 2:00 a.m., I woke up, startled, and thought about you. I checked on line and confirmed what my heart felt. I hope you are at peace, my friend. We knew each other all too briefly, and yet, after all these years, I've never forgotten you. God bless you and your family, Wade.

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of Wade. He was one of the nicest men I met. Wade was a kind, loving and caring person. He always kept a positive attitude about all the obstacles he was facing. I too also worked with Wade at SSA. We shared the same birthday months. I am so glad that I have pictures of us together sharing birthday cake. Rest in peace Wade. My condolences to the Hellman family.

My "Dad-in-law"...our little lawer joke. Since the day I met him he was ill. Over the last 5 years I watched this gentle giant fight...fight and fight some more. God finally showed us what he was up to....he used Dad to teach us hope...to have faith. ..and comfort those around us. I personally am grateful for such a gift....a blessing to have been this wonderful man's daughter-in-law, even for a short while... his simple example of believing has inspired me to believe more in hope and faith. Rejoice...smile...love and always have faith, because that's all Wade would ever ask of us. Love you forever Dad. You've touched my life and you'll remain alive in my heart until we meet again in His Kingdom.

I also had the Pleasure of working with Wade at Social Security. I will always remember him for loving to Eat. Whatever I made or if I could not eat all I had, Wade was there!!!! He was a Man of God who was always very kind and pleasant. I will remember him as I last saw him, which was quite some time ago. We know, that He is in a much better place. No more pain, no more suffering. Wishing the family peace and comfort during their time of sorrow!!!!
