Walter Gresham Obituary
Walter was a 1953 graduate of Oceana High School and attended Randolph Macon College. He retired following a long career in civil service. Walter was a longtime member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church and the Pearsall Bible Class.
He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Hitchings Gresham, and a sister, Helen Gresham Walton.
Walter is survived by 4 children, Chuck and wife Rhonda, Diane and husband Doug, Don and wife Debbie, and Rob, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel on Thursday, December 12th from 6pm to 8pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 11am at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

How do you add A memory about someone that has been apart of your life for almost your entire 70 years. You where the boy friend and then the husband to one of the sweets ladies that has ever walk on this earth and have given me 4 cousins that I love dearly. With all the time our families have been together there is not just A memory that stands out, you just can't pick one memory, The Sunday lunches at Grandma Whites, the Christmas, the family get togethers, just sitting in your backyard and watching the drive in movies, I, We all of us have been blessed by the times we have spent together. The Gresham's, the Whites, the Hitchens, the Tates and the Boothes, and Belangas - What a blessing to be related to and share our lives together. Walter, you and Bobbie, are so special to me and a big part of my life, I will remember you and Bobbie for ever until the end of time.
