Wilbur J. Wilkins, III

Portsmouth - Wilbur J. Wilkins III,"Bubba," 58, of Portsmouth, passed away September 23, 2015 at Maryview Hospital. Bubba was a native of Portsmouth, and was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur J. Wilkins, Jr. and his mother, Catherine W. Cotton.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Wilkins; two sons, BJ Wilkins and wife, Vanell, Marcus Wilkins and fiancé, Michelle McDonald, and a daughter, Sherry Wilkins and fiancé, Danny Justice; two sisters, Edna Burch and husband, Sam and Donna Monell and husband, David; five grandchildren, William Chandler, Cameron Wilkins, Kailyn Wilkins, Kylie Berry, and Marly Wilkins; and one niece, Mandy Monell.

The most important quality about Bubba was his quiet gentle soul. Bubba worked in carpentry and construction, and truly enjoyed his work. He loved the company of his grandchildren and relaxing at home. Bubba leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

Private memorial services were conducted by Sturtevant Funeral Home on September 29, 2015.
