Betty Gosbin Obituary
PEORIA – Betty J. Gosbin, 81, of Peoria passed away at 9:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Proctor in Peoria.
Betty was born on August 20, 1934, to Paul and Dorothy (Roseboom) Matkovic. She married Ronald Gosbin on June 27, 1964, at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria, where she remained an active member.
Betty is survived by her husband, Ron; and was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty worked as a marketing account coordinator at Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years. She was active in the Women's Christian Academy and the Marquette Chapter of Retired Secretaries. Betty was an avid gardener and took great pride in her landscaping. She will be remembered as a loving caregiver.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Entombment will take place at the American Mausoleum in Peoria.

I am sorry to hear of Betty's passing. I was in the Professional Secretaries (IAAP)Marquette Chapter with Betty for a few years. She was always very helpful and pleasant lady to be around. I know she was a great caretaker as well. Sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to hear of Betty passing. Betty and I went to grade and high school together. We both lived in Creve Coeur and spent time together. My condolences to her family.
