Bradley Eccles Obituary

Bradley Allen Eccles
WASHINGTON - Bradley Allen Eccles, 51, of Washington, IL, died at 10:44 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 13, 1967, in Peoria, IL, the son of Gerald Kenneth Eccles and Bonnie Jean Collins Lawson.
Surviving are his four children, Jesse, Jade, Casey and Maxwell, all of Washington, whom he loved to no end. Also surviving are his siblings, Christle Eccles of Peoria, Merry Eccles of Washington, Kelly (Terry) Flairty of Manito and Jason Eccles of Maysville, IA. Also surviving is his special companion, Laurie Deal.
His parents and one brother, Mike Eccles, preceded him in death.
Brad graduated from East Peoria High School and later served in the Army Reserves. He selflessly served as a Deputy Sheriff for Tazewell County for 25 years, being named Deputy of the Year in 1999. During his years as a Deputy, he formed many lasting friendships with fellow officers whom he considered his brothers.
Brad loved the outdoors, especially hiking and deer hunting with his sons. He was a strong, hard-working man, often remodeling his own houses and lending friends a hand. He enjoyed watching his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Brad made an impact on many lives and his memory will be kept alive by those who loved him.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at UnityPoint Health-Methodist for their kindness and care during Brad's stay.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 14, 2018, at Countryside Banquet Center, 659 School St., Washington, IL, from 2 to 6 p.m., with a service to follow at 6 p.m. Pastor James Frye will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675; or a charity of the donor's choice.
