PEORIA - Jeremy S. Bahr, 30, of Santa Rosa, Calif., formerly of Peoria, died at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
He was born June 9, 1981, in St. Louis, Mo., to Thomas J. and Janet V. Portell Bahr.
Jeremy is survived by his parents of Peoria. Also surviving are two brothers, Corey Bahr of Peoria and Brad Bahr of DeKalb, Ill.; his paternal grandparents, Archie (Anna Lou) Bahr of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeremy worked at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in Peoria for seven years before moving to Santa Rosa, Calif.
Jeremy enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Bears and music. Jeremy was an avid reader and enjoyed being around his friends and playing soccer.
Jeremy was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, where a memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011. The Rev. Patrick Henehan will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Wright and Salmon Mortuary in Peoria. Additional visitation will be at St. Jude Catholic Church 30 minutes prior to the Mass on Wednesday. Cremation rites have been accorded, and burial of ashes will be in Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
