Joshua Magnuson Obituary
WASHINGTON — Joshua Allen Magnuson, 36, of Washington, died at 8:15 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his father's home in Tremont. He was born on March 12, 1982 in Peoria to Frank Allen and Denise (List) Magnuson. He was blessed with the love and support of his family including his mother Denise (Albert) Durst of Lowpoint; father Frank (Cheryl) Magnuson of Tremont; 2 brothers Jacob (Jennifer) Magnuson of Surprise, AZ and Jesse (Jenna) Magnuson of Alton; stepsiblings Amy (Aaron) Auguster of East Peoria, Kyle (Britney) Durst of Germantown Hills, and Reece and Bryce Johnson of California; maternal grandmother Mary Ann List of Peoria; and paternal grandfather Howard Magnuson of Bartonville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Edward List and paternal grandmother Julia Magnuson. Joshua graduated from WCHS in 2001. He loved riding horses and motorcycles and was a very talented artist. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Monday, January 21 at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 444 E. Washington St., East Peoria. Service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 22 at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the services. Memorials may be made to Teen Challenge. To Denise, Albert, Frank and the entire family and his friends. Loosing a child is something that a parent should never have to endure, or a journey we should never have to walk. Everyone who knew him feels emptiness, he has left a hole which will soon be filled with memories. Be mindful of things around you, he's there! It might be in a bird, a burst of a breeze, a smell that reminds you of him, a chill across your face or hand. He's in a good place and he'll want you to know that. Look for the extraordinary in the ordinary. God Bless all of you!
