Leland hired me when I graduated from Morrison Institute of Technology in 1972. I worked for Leland and Vernon for 8 years in a variety of positions at Pearson Bros. and IME. Though we had our confrontations over the years, I always respected Leland for the Professional Businessman he was, and gained a great deal of knowledge and skill while working for him. He offered me many opportunities over the years. I will always remember him as my first truly "Big Boss". I am sure he is already leading people and inventing new things in his new home.
