Mrs Bevis was my fifth grade teacher at Pleasant Hill and a good friend I am sorry for your loss

Hello,

Mrs. Bevis was my 6th grade teacher at Pleasant Hill school during 1965-1966. She was hands down my favorite teacher! I still think of her often. In fact I was in contact just this week with Pleasant Hill school and was telling the office staff there what a wonderful teacher that she truly was. She had such a wonderful affect on all of her students that I and many others have not forgotten her. She truly made learning fun. If we all got our homework done, Mrs. Bevis would read another chapter from a book to us. She had us all hooked! She is one of the reasons that I maintain a personal library of several hundred books today. She truly made a difference for us. She had a way of making us all feel better about ourselves. Unfortunately for me, she also had her hair done at my mother's beauty shop. Consequently I could not get by with anything!

Many years ago I made an attempt to contact her just let her know about the positive effect she had had on my life. I was assured that she had already passed. I wish I had tried harder. Her's is a life that will truly be missed. The world is a better place for having had her in it.

With Sympathy

Dear Larry and Family,
I was sorry to hear about the passing of your mother and found out at the same time of your father's passing. I remember the good times we had at First Methodist and how
she was always around to support you and Jennice and your brother. She was a very nice lady. Again my condolences.
