Mark Dotson Obituary
PEORIA - Mark Edward Dotson, 53, passed away quite unexpectedly on or about Sunday, July 1, 2018, at his home in Peoria, IL.
Mark was born on June 8, 1965, to Gene Donald and Kathryn Margaret (Scoby) Dotson.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn DuBoff; and his sisters, Gene ("Genie") Donnal Huber of Laura, IL, and Vicki Lynn Davis (Ronnie Derrickson) of Peoria, IL. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Becky Dotson; nephews, Ryan Huber, Matthew Dotson (David Nail) and Joshua Dotson; nieces, Tracy Miller (Eric), Crystal Davis and Rachael Miller; and great-nephew, Kaden Miller; along with a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Lee, Angi and Justin Triplett were a very special second family to Mark and cared deeply for him, as he did for them.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gene; his brother, Randy Lee Dotson, who died at age 53 in 2010; his sister, Kelly Marie (Dotson) Roberson, who died at age 54 in 2017; two brothers who died in infancy, Harold Joseph Dotson and Paul David Dotson; and his brother-in-law, Jean Carroll Huber.
Mark attended St. Patrick Grade School and Manual High School. He worked at Perfect Choice Exteriors as an installer for siding and windows.
Family and friends are invited to gather to remember Mark on Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Ann's Parish Hall, 1010 S. Louisa Street, Peoria.
Memorials are requested in the form of prayers for his grieving family, especially his mother, Kathryn.

I am an old friend/schoolmate of Genie and I remember her and her younger siblings when we were all attending St. Pat's grade school. It breaks my heart that Mark passed away so young. I hope that his sisters and mother can find comfort in knowing that someday they will be reunited with Mark and their other loved ones in heavenly places. Until then, I wish your family peace.

Dear Mark, I am so sorry that you left this world so soon... I hope you are in that better place we all hope our souls reside in some day. I hope my Mom's there, too... and Randy and Kelly and all your loved ones who've gone before...welcoming you home. I remember Mom telling me stories about you - how much she liked you...and how she enjoyed playing chess w you. Special memories... Rest In Peace, dear cousin Mark.
