Michael Alexander Obituary
PEORIA - Michael "Mikie" A. Alexander Jr., 31, of Peoria passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 5 p.m. at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room.
He was born on Feb. 27, 1979, in Peoria to Michael Sr. and Jeanette Coleman Alexander.
Mikie leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving family, including his parents of Peoria; two daughters, Mikiyah A. Alexander and Nia K.M. Williams, both of Peoria; two sons, Gavin Brown and BraShon M.A. Alexander, both of Peoria; two brothers, Marvin A. Alexander of Peoria and Jason Jenkins of Minnesota; one sister, Nikkia Alexander of Peoria; his grandmother, Lillie Alexander of Peoria; and a host of other relatives and friends who adored him.
Two grandfathers and two grandmothers preceded him in death.
Mikie was a member of New Hope International Ministries and was last employed with Alex Lawn Care.
He was an avid sports person who loved to play football and basketball and was first team Peoria Journal Star all-conference running back.
He also signed to CBS records and was making preparations for a video.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at his church at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour prior beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Spencer Gibson Sr. will officiate. Mike will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery. T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
