Ricardo Graham Obituary

Ricardo Graham
PEORIA - Funeral services for Ricardo Montell Graham, 52, of Peoria will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at United Fellowship Ministry, 231 S. Saratoga, with the Rev. Greg Washington Officiant and Rev. Spencer Gibson Eulogist. Visitation will from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 11th, and an hour prior to the service on Saturday, both times at the church. Burial will be in Swan Memory Gardens.
His earthly journey began on June 17, 1966 in Peoria, Illinois, born to the union of John A. and Deborah E. Johnson-Rudd Graham Jr. Ricky, as he was affectionately known, was raised by his paternal grandparents, John and Etta Graham Sr., and his great grandmother, Estella Campbell. It was through their training that he developed his faith and trust in God, and lived his life to the fullest.
Ricky was a member of the New Life Christian Church. He loved spending time with daughter and family. He also enjoyed basketball. He had a strong work ethic. He started working for the OSF St. Francis Hospital January 15, 1990, and at the time of his transition, he was an Environment Service Supervisor.
Quite often death sends no summons before him; but floats unseen like a breeze. He comes on hushed footsteps to us all. Thus he came to our beloved on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. His transition was peaceful and now he is at rest. He leaves cherishing with loving Memories: a daughter Reagan M. Graham, his mother Deborah Johnson-Rudd; two young people who's lives that he touched in a fatherly way: Jarvis Williams Jr. and Alicia Wallace, siblings: Valentino L. Graham, Rosetta (Ezell) Hardiman and Mosetta (Ricardo) Cotton-Johnson, all of Peoria, Rochelle M. Edmonds of Indianapolis, IN, Jamila Nuguley of Minneapolis, MN, Parnell Graham of St. Paul, MN, a granddaughter and several other loving relatives and friends.
Ricardo is in the presence of the angelic host, his father, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and several others that have gone on before him.
Final arrangements entrusted to Perry's Twin City Mortuary Service of Champaign.

Your smile, style and grace will be missed here at Osf. I loved to see you coming making your daily rounds. In my 16yrs I have never not once seen him with nothing other than a smile on his face. He always had such a calm demeanor. Your presence was even calming to me. Especially when our floor was total chaos. You always made me take it down a few notches. I had no idea that you weren't here with us anymore, but that pleasant spirit of yours will forever live on. You will be missed dear friend.
