Ruby Clark Obituary
PEORIA - Ruby Clark, 70, of Peoria passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016.
She was born November 1, 1945, in Oakland, MS, to the late Bill and Dolly (McClain) Clark.
Ruby was the president of the usher board for over 40 years. She was a very loving and caring person. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Ruby loved to travel and dine at various restaurants. She was known for was her 7-up pound cakes that would melt in your mouth.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons, James (Denise) Clark of Virginia and Eric Clark of Peoria; one daughter, Katina (Harry) Clark Proctor of Peoria; one brother, H.C. Clark of Peoria; one sister, Katie Alexander of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father who raised her, McKinley (Jake) Alexander; one son, Horace Clark; and ten siblings.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10 a.m. Pastor Arthur Ellis will officiate. Host Pastor is Elder Robert Chriss. Ruby will be laid to rest at Swan Lake Cemetery.
Her family has entrusted T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel for arrangements. Online condolences or words of encouragement can be made at www.twparkschapel.com.
