James Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Reflection Cremation & Funeral Service - Tifton on Jan. 20, 2026.
James Leon Clark Jr, age 74, of Ty Ty, fell asleep in death at his home on Friday, January 16, 2026.

He was born on September 19, 1951 to the late James L. Clark Sr and Mammie B. Hill Clark in Turner County, GA. He worked at Parker Chevrolet in Ashburn for 57 years, making it his home away from home. He had a true love and gift for vehicles. If your car wasn't running right or was making a funny noise- he would know what to do to get it back right. He truly enjoyed his work and often times could be found working on cars off hours- making it a true hobby of his. He was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan- always keeping up with the team and their season. He enjoyed his wife- Mrs. Linda G. Smith Clark's cooking more than anything. It didn't matter what she cooked- he was always more than happy to eat it. He loved to start his morning with one of her egg sandwiches and was always eager to eat when fish was on the menu. If she wasn't cooking- you could find him at Captain D's- the man never turned down a good cooked meal. He had a heart of gold and a big personality- he was a people's person and loved being with other, especially his family and friends. He will be missed deeply.

Survivors include his wife- Linda G. Clark, daughters- Candace Leah Clark and Sonya Cassandra Zanita Clark, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, siblings- Bobbie Alden Powell, Geneva Stafford, and Billy Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter- Angela Yvette Clark, and brothers- Larry Lee Clark, Johnny Clark, and Willie T. "Doug" Clark.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday January 21, 2026 at The Reflection Chapel, with Kevin Blount officiating and John Mack offering remarks.
