WEST PEORIA - Stella M. Art, 76, of West Peoria died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Heritage Health in Chillicothe, Ill.
Stella born in Norwich, England, on March 6, 1939, to Edward W. and Kathleen M. Moore. She attended and completed secondary school in England. She married Michael N. Art on Aug. 6, 1966, in Norwich, England. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2001.
Stella is survived by her children, Kathleen Krohn of Coal City and Sean Art of Sunnyland; five grandchildren, Tyler Keller of Pekin, Landon Krohn of Tinley Park, Austin Art of Sunnyland, Ali Cain of Canton and Emerson Ratliff of Chillicothe; a sister, Kathleen Alden of Norwich, England; and three brothers-in-law, David (Martha) Art of Chillicothe, Norman Art and Troy Art.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Stella was an avid dirt track racing fan. She enjoyed watching action movies and hockey.
She retired from St. Joseph's Home in West Peoria, where she was a housekeeper.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family that will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 16 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Ill. Interment of cremains will be held on Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Peoria, Ill.
Memorial contributions in memory of Stella be left at the funeral home to PAWS.
